Biography
Catherine Shinners, founder and principal of Merced Group, is based in Palo Alto, California.
Her work for clients is at the nexus of organisational change and design, social and digital technology implementations, and individual work and leadership practice to help people transform into a 21st century adaptive workforce through mastery of core digital fluencies.
Sometimes called โFuture of Workโ practices, they are a set of skills that empower individuals to navigate and thrive in networks, to build capacities for continuous learning, and supports new management practices that foster social and digitally enabled structures such as communities and adaptive teams.
She has worked with leading companies from F100 high technology firms, to leading global banks and credit card firms, to a mid-size bio-technology firm and Silicon Valley tech startups.
Catherine speaks, blogs and writes about social business and is adjunct faculty member of Columbia Universityโs Information and Knowledge Strategy Masterโs program.
Catherine has held senior director positions in product management, marketing and business development at leading technology companies developing new products and lines of business in the enterprise software market particularly for the financial services and telecommunications industries.
